Essential Gettysburg

It’s been said that Gettysburg is the most famous small town in America, but to us its home. As residents, we are fortunate because it’s such a great place to live but also there is so much to do and explore! But, if you’re joining us for a weekend and looking for what we call “the essential Gettysburg experience,” we’ve put together a handy sample itinerary for you to have as your guide.

day one: afternoon
  • 3:00 pmCheck-in at the Gaslight Inn
  • 3:30 pmHead over to the Gettysburg National Military Park Visitor Center to see a 20-minute film, the Cyclorama Presentation, and visit the Artifact Museum (approximately 3 hours)
  • 6:30 pmReturn to the Inn for a glass of wine or homemade iced tea and a freshly baked cookie
  • 7:45 pmEnjoy a delicious dinner at the Dobbin House
